Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Plant Manager to oversee the daily operations of our covers manufacturing facility. This role is responsible for leading production teams, ensuring operational efficiency, maintaining safety standards, driving quality improvements, and achieving company goals related to output, cost control, and customer satisfaction

Duties And Responsibilities

  • Direct and manage plant operations for production, maintenance, quality, and shipping/receiving.
  • Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing team of supervisors, technicians, and production staff.
  • Ensure products are manufactured on schedule and within quality standards and cost objectives.
  • Implement continuous improvement strategies to optimize productivity, reduce waste, and enhance safety.
  • Oversee workforce planning, staffing levels, training, and performance evaluations.
  • Manage plant budget and resources effectively, controlling operating costs while maximizing output.
  • Ensure compliance with environmental, health, and safety regulations, including OSHA and company policies.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional departments (engineering, HR, supply chain, customer service) to align plant objectives with company goals.
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and provide regular reports to senior leadership.
  • Support quality assurance initiatives and corrective action processes.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Management, Industrial Technology, or related field.
  • 7+ years of progressive leadership experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in metals, industrial fabrication, or covers manufacturing.
  • Strong knowledge of lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, and other continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Proven track record of managing plant operations, budgets, and production metrics.
  • Excellent leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Working knowledge of ERP systems and manufacturing software.
  • Microsoft Dynamics D365 working knowledge desirable.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills, excellent interpersonal skill.
  • Strong organizational and collaboration skills.
  • Demonstrated record of successfully managing shifting deadlines and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite.
  • Demonstrated skills in problem solving.
  • Demonstrated supplier negotiation skills/experience.
  • Ability to coordinate, collaborate and work with all functional areas.
