Position Summary
Adara Communities is seeking a detail-oriented and highly motivated Accounting Staff member to join our team. This position will play a critical role in supporting the accounting and finance functions across multiple business areas.
Key Responsibilities Of The Accounting Staff
- Perform day-to-day bookkeeping functions, including accounts payable (AP), accounts receivable (AR), bank reconciliations, and journal entries.
- Support mortgage accounts management and payment processing.
- Assist with monthly, quarterly, and annual financial accounting close processes.
- Prepare reports for internal departments and external partners.
- Collaborate with property teams to ensure accurate reporting and resolve discrepancies.
- Support audits by gathering documentation and providing necessary explanations.
- Serve as a cross-functional backup for various accounting and administrative roles.
- Handle sensitive information with the highest level of confidentiality.
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
- 1–3 years of accounting or bookkeeping experience (real estate or property management a plus).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
