Summary

Observe shift muster; provide pass down to on-coming shift; conduct personnel inspection, forward discrepancy reports as necessary to the Management.

Required (Minimum Necessary) Qualifications
5 years’ experience as a detention/corrections operations Supervisor of equal or lower rank and/or SNCO or Commission with Honorable Discharge.

- Directly supervising the Shift Supervisors in performance of duties in regard to company policy, ICE Policy, PBNDS, PREA and Facility SOP.
- Supervise shift operations, ensuring Officers are performing their duties in accordance with post orders. Ensure all counts are conducted at prescribed times.
- Review Supervisor Post Checks/Prepare Daily Operations summary.
- Act as Incident Commander in conjunction with ICE.
- Responding to any/all incidents occurring on shift. Supervising preparation of required incident reports, ensuring Management and Agency personnel are notified of all serious incidents, and all reports are submitted timely.
- Conducting employee/Detainee injury investigations in accordance with policies.
- Reviewing Record of Presence to ensure all shift personnel have signed in/out properly.
- Conducting daily equipment inventory of controlled equipment.
- Preparing performance appraisals for Shift Supervisors.
- Other duties as assigned by Management.

- Ability to communicate clearly both orally and in writing.
- Computer skills including proficiency in various Microsoft Office Suite programs.
- Obtain and Maintain PSU Clearance
- Ability to meet Physical Requirements as required by contract.
- Preferred Bachelor’s Degree in related field.
- Must be able to work rotating shifts.

- Must be able to grip, squeeze, and repetitively use fine hand movements.
- Must be able to run with a fire extinguisher for long distances if necessary.
- Required to frequently lift up to 50 lbs.
- Required to occasionally lift 50+ lbs.
- Must be physically capable of responding to emergency situations that could include fire, or physical altercations

- This position does perform DOT “safety-sensitive” functions (as defined under 49 CFR Part 40) and is subject to all federal requirements related to Department of Transportation requirements for those performing, or on-call to perform, “safety-sensitive” functions. Employees must provide a valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) and Medical Examiner’s Certificate (MEC).

- May be exposed to sharp objects or blood borne pathogens.
- Exposure to outdoor sun and climate conditions for 8 or more hours is possible.
- Sitting for long periods of time in an office environment for 8 or more hours per day.
- Exposure to noise may be frequent.
- Exposure to chemicals
- Supervisory responsibilities will be in the review of currently established practices, with an emphasis of ways to keep team members safe while performing a range of activities.
