The AI Specialist Intern will work closely with the CIO and the data team to research, prototype, and help implement practical AI solutions across the business.

The AI Specialist Intern will work closely with the CIO and the data team to research, prototype, and help implement practical AI solutions across the business.
This internship is ideal for someone who is passionate about machine learning, natural language processing, or data science—and eager to apply these skills in a real-world business environment.
Essential Functions
- Collaborate with the CIO and data team to identify AI opportunities within existing workflows.
- Research and prototype AI use cases (e.g., document summarization, demand forecasting, anomaly detection).
- Assist with data preparation, model training, testing, and evaluation.
- Help integrate AI solutions into internal tools or dashboards (e.g., using Python, Power BI, or Microsoft ecosystem).
- Create documentation and reports to present findings and recommendations.

- Graduate student in Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field.
- The ideal candidate will have knowledge in AI/ML, Generative AI, Retrieval Augmented Generation (RAG), AI Agents, Google Cloud Platform (GCP), and Open Source tools, a strong academic background, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Demonstrated interest in AI through class projects, competitions, or personal work.
- Familiarity with one or more AI/ML frameworks (e.g., scikit-learn, TensorFlow, OpenAI APIs).
- Strong Python skills; familiarity with data handling libraries (pandas, NumPy) a plus.
- Curiosity, eagerness to learn, and ability to work in a collaborative environment.
- Experience with GPT-based tools, LLMs, or Microsoft Copilot/Power Platform.
- Exposure to cloud platforms (e.g., Azure, AWS) or API integrations.
- Awareness and Understanding of data privacy and security best practices.
