We seek a dedicated and knowledgeable Director of Pharmacy Services to oversee pharmacy operations and ensure the delivery of high-quality patient care.

The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in pharmacy practice, including experience in patient service, IV infusion, and medical terminology. This role is essential for maintaining compliance with regulatory standards while providing exceptional pharmaceutical care to our patients.

Duties:

  • Supervise pharmacy staff and manage daily operations to ensure efficient workflow.
  • Ensure the accurate dispensing of medications and provide guidance on drug interactions and side effects.
  • Collaborate with healthcare providers to optimize patient treatment plans and medication therapy management.
  • Oversee IV infusion processes, ensuring safety protocols are followed during preparation and administration.
  • Maintain comprehensive knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and pediatrics to assist with patient inquiries and education.
  • Implement systems for inventory management, ensuring adequate stock levels of medications and supplies.
  • Conduct regular training sessions for staff on best practices in patient care and pharmacy operations.
  • Monitor compliance with state and federal regulations governing pharmacy practice.

Requirements

  • Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) degree from an accredited institution.
  • Hospital Pharmacist experience is required.
  • Completion of a pharmacy residency is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Strong clinical knowledge in areas such as IV insertion, pediatrics, physiology, and anatomy.
  • Excellent communication skills with a focus on patient service and education.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a healthcare team to enhance patient outcomes.
  • Proficiency in pharmacy management systems and software applications.
  • Valid pharmacist license in the state of practice.
