Position Overview
We’re seeking a Field Service & Automation Technician to join our Southern California team. This hybrid role is ideal for a mechanically inclined, self-driven professional who thrives on variety. You’ll split your time between on-site field service, warehouse coordination, and technical sales support—playing a crucial role in delivering and maintaining Bray’s high-performance valve and automation systems.
Key Responsibilities
Field Service (On-Site Support)
- Install, automate, calibrate, and repair Bray actuators and valves at customer facilities.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues while maintaining strong customer relationships.
- Prepare detailed service reports following field evaluations or repairs.
Warehouse Operations
- Coordinate daily warehouse tasks including valve assembly, order processing, cycle testing, and documentation.
- Receive materials and manage inventory through routine physical and cycle counts.
- Ensure compliance with safety policies and operational procedures.
Sales & Technical Support
- Provide product expertise and field feedback to support sales initiatives.
- Represent Bray with professionalism to promote product adoption and customer confidence.
Minimum Requirements
- Mechanical Knowledge: Hands-on experience with pneumatic tools, hand tools, and basic electrical wiring.
- Communication Skills: Proficiency in reading, writing, and understanding English instructions and technical documents.
- Equipment Proficiency: Capable of using a forklift, pallet jacks, hand trucks, and basic computer systems.
- Organizational Skills: Self-motivated, highly organized, and capable of managing priorities independently.
- Customer Service: Friendly, solutions-oriented approach to assisting internal and external clients.
- Travel: Willingness to travel up to 10% of the time within California.
Preferred Qualifications
- Education: Associate degree or technical training (Electrical focus a plus).
- Certifications: Lean Six Sigma, electrical or mechanical certifications (preferred).
- Experience: 2–3 years in field service, mechanical assembly, or warehouse inventory management.
- Licenses: Valid driver’s license and auto insurance required.
