DESCRIPTION
Amazon Devices and Services is an inventive research and development consumer electronics business. Lab126 began in 2004 as a subsidiary of Amazon.com, Inc., originally creating the best-selling Kindle family of products. We are looking for an HR leader to drive the development and implementation of HR strategy for businesses under the Devices and Services Trust & Privacy organization across Amazon Devices.A Principal HR Business Partner in this role is both a strategic and hands-on leader that provides full cycle Human Resources support to the business. Based in Sunnyvale, this role will be a part of a fun, passionate and dynamic HR and business team and requires strong team collaboration with other parts of Amazon HR. This role is critical in defining and executing our talent agenda by working backward from the customer and driving HR thought leadership and functional excellence.
To be successful in this role, you must understand business priorities and translate them into the highest impact work. You will help business leaders look around corners with data-driven recommendations that improve performance, retention, and the overall employee experience.
- A true hands-on approach as well as the ability to successfully monitor the "pulse" of the employees to ensure a high level of employee engagement.
- Experience with organizational design and facilitating change management within a rapid and complex changing work environment.
- Strong solutions focus. Comfortable working in an environment that values impact over effort, and values the ability to identify problems and drive appropriate systemic, and scalable solutions
- Must be able to interface, coach and mentor senior leaders within the organization.
- Success in creating and driving effective full cycle talent development programs using a data driven approach.
- The ability to think big but also not be afraid to "roll up your sleeves."
- The ability to effectively lead and influence HR teams without direct authority.
- The ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
- Passion for innovative HR solutions and process improvement.
- Partner with senior business leaders on organizational design, site strategy, workforce planning and talent management
- Excellent written and verbal communication; high quality document preparation and presentation skills
A day in the life
This is a global HR leadership role. The role will partner with leaders of the Devices and Services Trust & Privacy organization responsible for delivering on multiple programs
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field
- 10+ years experience in an HR leadership role with broad knowledge and experience in human resources
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Master's Degree in Human Resources Management or related field is preferred
- 5+ years experience working with global teams, leading strategic HR direction for a global organization
- 2+ years HR experience in a high tech environment.
- Strong judgment and experience coaching senior leaders.
- Effective Communication/Facilitation: The HRBP must be an effective communicator, both written and verbal, work with managers to send clear and consistent messages, be an effective communicator in writing, facilitation, be able to drive change, facilitate internal communication processes, and facilitate dissemination of internal customer information.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $139,200/year in our lowest geographic market up to $230,200/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
