Job Purpose
The Leadership Support Specialist (LSS) plays an administrative and collaborative role in supporting our member division, region, and branch leaders. The Specialist, under the leadership of the Director, Membership & Leadership Services, will distribute resources to the 20 chartered divisions, 56 chartered branches and 4 regions. and other departments within the association as assigned. The Specialist will help facilitate the flow of information and provide general support to deliver qualitative services to division, region, and branch leaders.
Key Responsibilities
Hybrid. Must be able to report for in-person work up to 2 times a month. Some evenings and weekends may be required. Candidate must reside within the Washington DC Metro area.

Job Purpose
The Leadership Support Specialist (LSS) plays an administrative and collaborative role in supporting our member division, region, and branch leaders. The Specialist will help facilitate the flow of information and provide general support to deliver qualitative services to division, region, and branch leaders.
Key Responsibilities
- Provides administrative and general support to serve 19 chartered divisions, 4 regions and 56 chartered branches.
- Supports the Director in preparing agendas, reports, scheduling meetings, meeting summaries and ensuring related projects and action items are completed on schedule.
- Provides customer support to ensure divisions, regions and branches receive information in a timely manner regarding ACA’s programs, services and organizational matters including sharing resources, policies, and procedures.
- Coordinates tasks to help maintain relationships with DRBs leaders to ensure exceptional customer service and responsiveness.
- Schedules and attends meetings as directed, prepares meeting agendas, distributes materials, writes meeting summaries, participates in new leader onboarding activities, prepares presentations for the Director and assists with delivery of the program, assists with budget preparation and expenses and/or invoice reconciliation, and handles day-to-day communications and operations.
- Coordinates and maintains DRBs online community platforms to support qualitative discussions and information sharing among leaders.
- Assists in the preparation and distribution of monthly and quarterly membership statistical reports to divisions, drafts communications including reminders, notices, meetings and related information.
- Prepares and collects data for Annual Information Survey
- Works collaboratively with Membership team members to ensure DRB leadership records are accurate and up to date in iMIS.
- Supports ACA’s Annual Conference in collaboration with team members.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration or a related field. Years of experience may be substituted for education.
- 3+ years of experience in a member organization support role
- Excellent communication and presentation skills; an ability to communicate, understand priorities
- Excellent administrative and project management skills.
- High degree of flexibility to work in an innovative, fast-paced environment and readily embrace change.
- Proficiency in related software including MS Office Suite, iMIS/RiSE (or similar AMS) and Zendesk (or other customer service ticketing system).
