About the Role
The full-time Community Impact Manager position is responsible for the continued development and implementation of PCs for People’s community outreach strategies and oversees the retail operations with specific revenue targets and key performance indicators. The position will assume supporting growth in coordination and collaboration of PCs for People with partner nonprofit agencies to increase digital awareness and literacy across surrounding markets. This position will also lead in building partnerships and a network of nonprofit partners to maximize distribution, usage, and impact of affordable technology in our community. This position reports to the Director of Impact and Development.

Key Role Responsibilities
Relationships
- Acts as local face of PCs for People in marginalized communities within a 5 hour radius of the market, promoting our mission and programs through a network of relationships
- Partners with marketing department to implement strategies to promote programs and services through all media outlets
- Professionally represents PCs for People in meetings, conferences and at events for best visibility and educates targeted audiences about all of PCs for People’s programs and services including Sourcing, Refurbishing/Recycling, Distributing, Connecting and Supporting
- Establishes and maintains strong relationships with partners and funders to increase distribution and use of programs and services in marginalized communities
- Oversee distribution partnerships ensuring timely outcomes, strong communication, and customer satisfaction
- Act as point of contact for volunteers and assist in coordinating volunteer opportunities
- Assist in building and facilitating advisory councils
- Supervises retail operations, including scheduling, staffing and customer service
- Works with Director of Customer Service to provide training and professional development to CS staff
- Partners with marketing department and CS staff to implement strategies to drive traffic to local retail
- Manages Customer Service Representatives (CSR) KPI’s including but not limited to inbound and outbound communications, sales, service repairs, and digital skills
- Ensures retail space is within marketing specifications, is clean, organized and welcoming
- Coordinates and executes in person events in the community with the goals of visibility and sales (pop-ups, subsidized distributions, etc.)
- Completely and accurately follows workflows and processes to distribute, document, invoice, and collect funds
- Identify and submit grants for Community Impact to subsidize costs for marginalized populations
- Seek and participate in local digital equity activities
- Assist with the submission and execution of program, capacity and general operating grant opportunities
- Follow all standard operating procedures for position activities
- Identify and support external funding opportunities to Write in Tech by other nonprofit organizations or entities
- Participate in staff training and development
- Support other market Community Impact efforts as needed
- Other duties as may be assigned
Desired Skills/Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent
- 3+ years in a related field
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Must be organized, detail-oriented, excellent critical thinking and analytical skills.
- Ability to take initiative, establish priorities, problem solve and function independently.
- Demonstrated ability to exhibit a high degree of quality, integrity, and honor confidentiality of appropriate information including, but not limited to, customer data, organizational operations or work processes, donor and donor family information, contributor details, any financial information.
- Strong working knowledge of Google, Microsoft Office, and Adobe applications.
- Entrepreneurial mindset.
- Desire to help the community.
- Some travel required
- Reliable transportation required.
