Location: Lafayette, LA
Schedule: Full-Time | Monday–Friday
Compensation: $55,000–$68,000 annually (based on experience)

We’re looking for a skilled HR Specialist- Benefits to play a central role in supporting our people through exceptional HR operations, with a focus on benefits administration, leave coordination, onboarding, and compliance.

We’re looking for a skilled HR Specialist- Benefits to play a central role in supporting our people through exceptional HR operations, with a focus on benefits administration, leave coordination, onboarding, and compliance.
What You’ll Do
- Administer health, dental, vision, life, disability, and retirement benefits, including 401(k) and ESOP
- Lead open enrollment, benefit renewals, and employee communications around benefits
- Coordinate leaves of absence (FMLA, non-FMLA), and assist with COBRA administration
- Partner with payroll, risk management, and store/department managers on HR operations
- Maintain and update the employee handbook and HR policy documents
- Coordinate onboarding processes at the Distribution Center
- Provide timely support for employee inquiries with a focus on service, accuracy, and confidentiality.
- Handle HR inquiries with professionalism, accuracy, and confidentiality
What You Bring:
- 2+ years of experience in HR benefits administration
- Bachelor's Degree in HR or related field preferred
- Strong understanding of qualified retirement plans and insurance benefits
- Familiarity and experience with employment laws (FMLA, COBRA, HIPAA, ACA, etc.)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and general HR systems
- An ability and eagerness to learn new technologies quickly
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Clear and professional communication style, especially when educating employees on complex policies.
- Ability to manage sensitive information with professionalism and discretion.
