These experienced professionals provide administrative expertise, facilities management, natural and cultural resource planning, and a broad array of other professional skills that support the National Park Service through the Experienced Services Program (ESP).

The enrollment relationship between NEW Solutions and the Enrollee is an ?at-will? relationship. This means that an Enrollee is free to terminate enrollment at any time during the enrollment period, and NEW Solutions and the Agency have the right to terminate the relationship with the Enrollee.

Qualifications
MA/MS Degree in Historic Preservation, Materials Conservation, Architectural Conservation, or similar with minimum additional experience of 10 year(s) in architectural conservation
Provide technical expertise and conservation treatment support for a wide variety of objects and structures.

Qualifications
MA/MS Degree in Historic Preservation, Materials Conservation, Architectural Conservation, or similar with minimum additional experience of 10 year(s) in architectural conservation
- Significant experience providing hands-on conservation treatment of collection objects from historic house museums and restoration treatments of outdoor statuary and plaques in accordance with relevant laws, policies and standards; knowledge of technical and science-based approaches to the documentation and treatment of historic objects and monuments; knowledge of traditional fabrication techniques and materials.
- Experience required with Windows, MS Word, MS Excel
- Adobe products; high rez tethered 35mm photography
Provide technical expertise and conservation treatment support for a wide variety of objects and structures.
- Provide expert conservation treatment of objects and structures in the collection of Region 1 parks. Document with high resolution tethered photography (where possible), examine objects and identify deterioration issues, design treatment protocols in keeping with NPS priorities, carry out conservation treatments in lab and in situ in timely manner. 75%
- Provide guidance and instruction on conservation of objects and monuments to graduate student interns and staff. 15%
- Provide treatment reports for all completed treatments, with maintenance recommendations and photo documentation. 10%
- Travel Requirements: Travel to five out-of-state parks
- Overnight travel: one week a month
- Air travel anticipated: twice a month
- Required Safety Gear: PPE may include, but is not limited to hard hats, face masks, gloves, safety glasses, and other gear necessary to ensure that the enrollee is prepared to work in varied environments.
- Physical requirements: Ability to walk up to 0.5 mi on unimproved surfaces and walk and climb stairs through historic structures. Ability to work in varied and extreme environments, work in confined spaces. Ability to work on scaffolding. Ability to sit for prolonged periods of time. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions of this position.
