The WCF Insurance Information Technology (IT) department has an immediate opening for someone who can demonstrate the WCF values to join their team in an Applications Developer role. This is a Hybrid full-time, exempt position that works Tuesday and Wednesday in our Sandy, Utah Headquarters office. This posting is open to internal and external candidates.
Responsibilities
The most qualified candidate will have:
WCF Insurance offers an extensive compensation package. All employees earn 4 weeks of vacation their first year. Expected salary for this position is $67,000 - $130,000 depending on location, experience, and education.
Internal candidates should have acceptable job performance, 6 months in their current position, and must notify their current supervisor that they have applied for the position.

Responsibilities
- Assist the manager of applications systems in the design, development, and programming of new complex information systems.
- Maintain existing information systems.
- Keep up with emerging technologies to remain technically proficient.
- Continually improve programming skills, debugging techniques, communication, and customer service.
- Establish a good working relationship with department users and external customers.
- Complete assigned processes timely and accurately based on programming standards.
- Deliver excellent internal and external customer service.
- Demonstrate effective organization and time-management skills.
- Mentor programmer analysts.
The most qualified candidate will have:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field and at least two years of work experience (or six years of work experience without a degree) as a programmer or analyst.
- Thorough knowledge of programming and computer logic skills.
- Proven ability to understand technical terms and concepts.
- Action and results-oriented, with ability to operate at both a strategic and operational level.
