The Events Specialist - KSC serves as the lead at the Kino Sports

Complex and oversees events, liaising, and communicating as necessary

with Event Coordinators and organizers.

Essential Functions

  • Maintains records and prepares reports;
  • Attends meetings and training sessions;
  • Supervises/leads intermittent event staff;
  • Performs pre-event logistic preparation as directed by Event

Coordinators;

  • Works as the department liaison with event organizers during events;
  • Arranges for facility event lighting;
  • Supervises the issuance, use and care of event supplies and

equipment;

  • Ensures the safety and cleanliness of facilities, and submits work

orders;

  • Provides customer service during events;
  • Interprets and explains complex policies during events;
  • Coordinates work assigned for event facilities;
  • Conducts inventory of event equipment and supplies.

Minimum Qualifications

  • 520 hours of experience involving interaction with varying age groups,

individually or in groups, within the recreational field or a related

professional area.**

  • Preferred Qualifications: (Be specific in describing your experience

  • Minimum one (1) year experience in supervising/leading staff during

events.

  • Minimum two (2) years customer service experience.
  • Minimum one (1) year experience working in an event setting (events,

leagues, tournaments, community activities) with crowds of varying

sizes.

  • Minimum one (1) year experience with Microsoft Office Suite.
