Job Description

This role is categorized as HYBRID. This means the successful candidate is expected to report to GM Warren - Cadillac Tower three times per week, at minimum. This job may be eligible for relocation benefits.

The Marketing Development Specialist will support the Global Marketing Development Manager by executing initiatives that foster professional growth, skill-building, and organizational cohesion within the global marketing team. This role will be critical in coordinating and delivering engagement activities, managing communication channels, and ensuring alignment with the company’s global marketing development goals. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong project management skills, creativity, and adaptability to contribute to a culture of continuous improvement, curiosity and engagement across marketing disciplines.

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Support Marketing Engagement Initiatives: Assist in the planning, execution, and communication of global engagement programs and events, including training sessions, culture-building initiatives, and marketing workshops while maintaining US and Global calendars.
  • Marketing Development Roadmap: Manage logistics and coordination for marketing development activities, such as The GM Marketing Way (Way2Grow) global training, onboarding programs, marketing skill training, and cross-functional workshops, Way2Grow processes to ensure smooth and consistent delivery.
  • Resource Management: Develop and distribute print and digital educational and training materials, including guides, newsletters, and one-pagers, to support global marketing teams in their development goals.
  • Marketing Learning Partnerships: Partner with external ecosystem of learning partners to identify and support the marketing development roadmap.
  • Workplace of Choice Coordination: Coordinate monthly committee meetings, assemble action plans, summarize leadership talking points, lead workstreams and reporting of progress against quarterly goals.


Additional Job Description

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Minimum of 1-3+ years of experience in marketing, talent development or employee engagement.
  • Strong project management skills with an ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a demonstrated ability to work collaboratively across regions and functions.
  • Familiarity with digital platforms for engagement and content sharing, such as SharePoint, Viva, or other similar tools.
  • Proactive problem-solver with a high attention to detail and a commitment to continuous improvement.
