Loan Manager

BKM Capital Partners is a growing firm, and we are looking for hardworking professionals that want to grow with us. Located in Newport Beach, California, the Loan Manager will support the debt capital markets functions for the company and its sponsored investment vehicles.

The Loan Manager will have strong experience in the debt closing process, good task management, coordination, and loan administration expertise. They will coordinate and lead the debt closing process with all necessary stakeholders, both internal and external to the company.

This role is 100% in-office due to the collaborative nature.

The Job Essentials

This person’s key responsibility will be as follows:

Debt Closings

• Manages the loan documentation process as a deal transitions from term sheet to documentation, ensuring adherence to the executed term sheet
• Responsible for full loan coordination, including internal approvals, documentation of necessary agreements and exhibits, communication of ownership structure and agreements, and timely closing of all loans
• Reviews and provides all due diligence required by lender
• Oversees accurate loan documentation of business plan objectives
• Works with Portfolio Management and Acquisition teams for accurate modeling of loan terms
• Abstract all loan documents and related closing materials
  
  

Debt Management

• Prepare lender reporting packages and monitor covenant compliance across all active loans
• Manage loan database to track all existing facilities, mortgages, and hedging instruments
  
  

The Qualifiers

• Bachelor’s degree in real estate, business, finance, economics or similar
• 5+ years relevant experience in commercial real estate asset / portfolio management
• Advanced Excel capabilities
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Motivated and results-driven with strong work ethic
