Description

Summary / Position Purpose:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Commercial Analytics Lead to drive our growth strategy by leading and developing a high-performing team of analysts. In this pivotal role, you will be instrumental in building a successful analytics team that delivers impactful insights and analysis to key stakeholders across Sales, Product Management, Marketing, and Digital departments. This is a unique opportunity to demonstrate exceptional line management skills, directly translate analytical work into business results, and foster a collaborative and supportive team environment. You'll be a key partner to our business leaders, ensuring they receive the actionable intelligence needed to make informed strategic decisions.

Essential Duties, Functions And/or Responsibilities

  • Provide strong line management and mentorship to a small team of data/commercial analysts, prioritizing their work effectively to address the most critical business needs.
  • Actively build and develop a cohesive and high-performing analytics team, fostering a collaborative environment that encourages continuous innovation.
  • Drive the ongoing development and optimization of reporting and dashboard solutions, ensuring they provide relevant insights.
  • Ensure the analytics team is meeting deadlines with quality reporting and analysis.
  • Meet regularly with commercial leaders to understand and help prioritize business needs.
  • Indirectly and directly responsible for product quality
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:

  • High School diploma or GED is required
  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field is preferred
  • 4+ years of progressive experience in analytics, including time spent in a leadership or supervisory role.
  • Demonstrated ability to build highly effective working relationships and influence decision making.
  • Proficiency in Excel, and familiarity with data visualization tools (Power BI reporting experience is a plus)
  • Proven ability to oversee a multitude of tasks simultaneously, from conception to delivery, within defined timelines.
  • Familiarity with data governance and best practices.
  • Experience with query/scripting languages (e.g., SQL, R, Python) is a plus.
  • Proven track record of success in team leadership (1+ years required), with a focus on team development, performance management, and fostering a positive team culture.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage a high-performing analytics team.
  • Exceptional ability to manage senior stakeholders.
  • Strong grasp of commercial principles gained through prior experience supporting Sales, Product, or Marketing teams.
  • Excellent written, interpersonal, and verbal communication skills, with experience and comfortability presenting to large groups
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and adept at managing multiple priorities and deadlines across the team.
  • Adept at navigating change and managing multiple projects in a fast-paced environment

Physical Requirements
