Job Summary
The Non-Clinical Educator assists in the planning, organization and execution of non-clinical education/training programs as identified through needs assessment, quality improvement, and implementation of new products and technology. The Non-Clinical Educator would work with personnel in the following roles; Patient Service Coordinator, Customer Service Reps.(Call Center), Insurance Verification, Eligibility Specialist and Referral Coordinators.
Major Duties And Responsibilities
Analytical and Critical Thinking
The Non-Clinical Educator assists in the planning, organization and execution of non-clinical education/training programs as identified through needs assessment, quality improvement, and implementation of new products and technology. Major Duties And Responsibilities
Analytical and Critical Thinking
- Performs administrative duties
- Participates in the process of incorporating evidence based diagnoses and treatment guidelines into the care practices of the organization
- Collaborates with Operations/Medical Management to meet department/site needs
- Promotes effective working relations and works effectively as part of a team to facilitate the organization’s ability to meet its goals and objectives
- Facilitates new employee non-clinical orientation, routine competency training/validation, and ongoing education needs of non-clinical staff
- Travels to various clinical sites routinely for continuous/ annual in-services and trainings
- Demonstrates knowledge, skills, judgment, and ability to instruct non-clinical staff
- Maintains ongoing knowledge and research of current trends and best practices
- Participates in professional development activities and maintains professional affiliations
- Assists in identifying opportunities for improvement of clinical workflow and generates effective educational material and training
- Develops policies and procedures in collaboration with Operations/Medical Management
- Demonstrates respect and regard for the dignity of all patients, families, visitors and fellow employees to ensure a professional, responsible, and courteous environment
- Demonstrated knowledge requirements pertaining to efficient non-clinical general operating workflows.
- Must have very strong interpersonal skills and be highly effective in establishing relationships with key constituents, both within and outside the institution, professionally representing the institution;
- Excellent discretion, judgment, tact, initiative, organizational skills, and self-motivation.
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills are essential.
- Ability to anticipate and asses situations accurately and recommend/implement effective courses of action required.
- Ability to work with clinicians and administrators to help building relationships that foster an effective/efficient work environment and helps to achieve optimal general operating levels in our clinical practice.
- Minimum of five (5) years; preferred minimum of eight (8) years in a Supervisory/Training role.
- Knowledge of principles and methods for curriculum and training design, teaching and instruction for individuals and groups, and the measurement of training effects
