We are searching for a talented Interpreter II Languages
Hours: 40hrs
Shift: Day shift, 8:00am - 4:30pm with weekend and holiday rotation
Location: St. Luke's Hospital - New Bedford, MA

**Available to regular status employees who are scheduled to work a minimum of 24 hours.

Responsibilities: Position reports to the Manager, Interpreter Services, or designee. Provide coverage on-site for Interpreter Services as requested. Provide accurate consecutive verbal interpretation. Develop a rhythm of interpretation to enhance the flow of communication between parties. Maintain accurate and timely digital documentation of encounters. Qualifications:
- Associate degree or equivalent knowledge and experience in a related field is required.
- Training in medical terminology. Interpersonal skills appropriate for handling sensitive patient and/or employee issues.
- Fluency in three (3) languages required, including English and two (2) assigned languages.
- One (1) year related experience preferred.
- Certificate of completion of a 60-hour Medical Interpreter Training program.
- Must be fully vaccinated against seasonal Influenza and the COVID 19 virus or to be exempt from the requirement for medical or personal reasons by signing a statement certifying you are choosing to be exempt from vaccination once hired
Compensation: Pay rate will be determined based on level of experience.
