Job Summary:
Under direct supervision, you will play a crucial role in assisting students with registration, admission, and payments. Your responsibilities will include addressing student inquiries, processing applications and fees, evaluating documents, and providing essential clerical support
Key Responsibilities:
- Recruitment & Outreach: Assist with workshops and create engaging newsletters and flyers
- Student Guidance: Direct students to the appropriate departments for admissions, course registration, and PERT testing
- Application Support: Help students with applications, verify Florida residency, and evaluate high school transcripts
- Payment Processing: Handle payments for college classes, tests, and other services, ensuring daily balances and secure transactions
- Course Scheduling: Manage scheduling for vocational, supplemental, and non-credit courses
- Liaison Services: Act as a bridge for students seeking Advising, Financial Aid, and Career Transfer Services
- Data Management: Enter and maintain student registration information, both electronically and in hard copy
- Administrative Support: Assist counselors and advisors with clerical tasks, coordinate office workflows, and manage room usage
- Communication: Answer and direct calls on a multi-line telephone system
- Additional Duties: Perform other tasks as assigned to support the smooth operation of the college

- Assists with recruitment efforts including workshops; creates newsletter/flyers.
- Triages entering students to direct them to proper area whether applying to the college, registering for courses, or processing students for PERT testing.
- Assists students with applications and onboarding process; reviews and verifies Florida residency; and evaluates high school transcripts.
- Processes payments for college classes, PERT tests, Distance Learning Tests, ESL payments, and GED payments; makes sure payments balance each day; closes bank sessions; gives payments to security to take to the bank; sends paperwork and receipts to appropriate party; and closes safe at the end of the day.
- Processes and schedules students for vocational, supplemental, and non-credit courses.
- Serves as a liaison for students coming to talk with Advising, Financial Aid, and Career Transfer Services.
- Completes data entry of student registration information; registers students for various tests administered by the College.
- Maintains and updates student information, both electronic and hard copy records.
- Processes registration forms.
- Assists counselors and advisors with clerical tasks and filing; coordinates workflow to other offices.
- Coordinates room usage of campus facilities, answers and directs calls for a multi-line telephone system.
- Completes all other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
- Associate degree; one (1) year of related clerical experience including cash handling experience; or any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience which provides the requisite knowledge, skills, and abilities for this job.
- Prefers those competent in speaking and writing both Spanish and English.
- Knowledge of cash handling.
- Knowledge of FERPA and college admissions/registration process.
- Skill in organizing and prioritizing.
- Skill in providing customer service.
- Skill in working with Microsoft Office and Windows based applications.
- Ability to be accurate and detailed oriented, use sound judgement, multi-task, and work independently as well as with others.
