Job Summary

The Learning & Development Associate is responsible for designing, implementing, and managing training programs that enhance employee skills and knowledge for all Redwood Communities team members. This role focuses on developing comprehensive training initiatives, including software training, leadership development, and professional growth programs. The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker who can create engaging learning experiences that align with company objectives and enhance operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

  • Training Strategy & Development
  • Design and implement (remote) learning and development strategies that support business objectives.
  • Conduct needs assessments to identify skills gaps and training opportunities.
  • Develop training content and materials, including e-learning modules, and online workshops. Work with each VP/Department head to seek approval on any/all trainings that touch their departments. Coordination with each department is essential for success.
  • Own and administrate Easy LMS through Real Page (Training Platform)
  • Software Training & Technology Integration
  • Lead the training efforts for RealPage Suite of Services, working closely with our in-house Real Page Analyst and Director of Information Systems.
  • Collaborate with all departments on the training needed for software, hard and soft skills, etc.
  • Provide ongoing support and refresher training to employees on company software tools.
  • Leadership & Employee Development
  • Develop leadership training programs to cultivate managerial and customer service growth. (most training is remote/webinar, etc.)
  • Create career development pathways to enhance employee retention and growth.
  • Facilitate mentorship and coaching programs.
  • Program Management & Delivery
  • Deliver training sessions through various methods, including in-person (prior approval required and limited), virtual, and self-paced learning.
  • Manage external training partnerships and vendors as needed.
  • Track and measure training effectiveness through assessments and feedback.
  • Compliance & Regulatory Training
  • Ensure employees are trained in industry regulations, fair housing laws, and company policies.
  • Maintain training records and ensure compliance with applicable regulations.

Qualifications & Skills

  • 5+ years of experience in learning and development, preferably within the multifamily real estate or property management industry.
  • Strong knowledge of adult learning principles and instructional design.
  • Experience with Learning Management Systems (LMS) and e-learning tools.
  • Proficiency in property management software (e.g. RealPage)
  • Excellent presentation, communication, and facilitation skills.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally with HR, IT, Accounting, Compliance, Facilities and Operations teams.
  • Strong project management and organizational skills.
