Spokane Produce, Inc. has an immediate opening for a Food Production Worker in our Commercial Kitchen.
The ideal candidate must be able to stand for long periods of time and comfortable working a few hours or longer in a COLD environment as regulated by the USDA.
Must be able to read, write, and understand English well enough to complete required USDA paperwork daily.
Previous kitchen experience REQUIRED. Must have or obtain a food handlers card before start date.
Job duties will include cutting, slicing and preparing foods such as sandwiches, pizzas, wraps, and salads in a culinary style production kitchen, producing a variety of soups and pasta salads and several flavors of hummus, preparing several types of lasagna and stuffed mushrooms, as well as many other products in our USDA kitchen. Labeling, packaging, cleaning and sanitation are also required job functions.
Shifts will start at 7:00am Mon - Friday. MUST have reliable transportation.
All candidates must be able to pass a pre-employment criminal background check and drug screen, and continue to satisfy our drug testing policy if offered employment. We are a Federal Contractor and drug free workplace, which includes a prohibition on marijuana use for all employees.
