The Accounting Manager will oversee financial reporting, inventory accounting, cost control, and compliance, while ensuring accuracy and efficiency in a fast-paced, logistics-driven environment. This role plays a key part in driving financial integrity and operational performance.

Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accounting Manager to lead the accounting operations across 2 of our growing business units. The Accounting Manager will oversee financial reporting, inventory accounting, cost control, and compliance, while ensuring accuracy and efficiency in a fast-paced, logistics-driven environment. This role plays a key part in driving financial integrity and operational performance.
Duties/Responsibilities
- Supervise daily accounting operations including accounts payable, receivable, general ledger, bank reconciliations, and month-end close.
- Prepare and review financial statements and management reports in accordance with GAAP.
- Oversee inventory accounting, including reconciliations, cycle counts, and cost-of-goods-sold (COGS) analysis.
- Monitor and analyze financial data from ERP and warehouse management systems to identify trends and variances.
- Implement and maintain internal controls, especially around inventory and procurement processes.
- Collaborate with operations, logistics, and procurement teams to align financial and operational goals.
- Support budgeting and forecasting processes; provide variance analysis and insights.
- Lead and mentor a team of accountants and support staff; manage performance and promote professional development.
- Assist with audits, tax filings, and regulatory compliance.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA or MBA preferred).
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a leadership or supervisory role.
- Experience in industrial distribution, wholesale, logistics, or manufacturing is highly preferred.
- Strong understanding of inventory, cost accounting, and supply chain finance.
- Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, NetSuite, Epicor) and Microsoft Excel.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
- Experience integrating accounting with warehouse or logistics management systems preferred.
- Knowledge of sales tax, freight costing, and vendor rebate programs preferred.
