Qualifications
Required:
- Knowledge of medical technology helpful
- Good typing and computer skills a must
- Fluent in Spanish strongly preferred
- High School Diploma preferred
- At least 1 year experience preferred
- Shift- 3:00pm-11:00pm
- Monday Friday with every other weekend and holidays
- Full Time/Evening
- Experience in a hospital patient registration setting, doctors office, handling patients scheduling, obtaining pre-certifications, authorizations and referrals or patient services environment strongly preferred;
- Previous experience in a census management, assigning beds, position
- Previous experience in a patient services environment billing/collections-must have a working knowledge of more than one provider such as Medicare, Medicaid, HMOs and others
- Experience in completing medical assistance application, family care, PEs, PAICs or charity care, helpful
- Experience in a customer service related environment preferred
- Well developed interpersonal skills with the ability to understand and communicate with persons of varying acuities
- Must be able to work with the public and maintain poise under difficult situations at all times
