Responsibilities

The Technology Resilience (TR) Innovation Systems Analyst is a crucial role designed to support the Response Gap Intake Process, directly reporting to the TR Innovation Manager. This position is integral to enhancing the organization's technology resilience and recovery capabilities, ensuring effective handling of response gap requests.

Responsibilities:

  • Support Request Management: assist in receiving, logging, and prioritizing response gap requests.
  • Solution Development: participate in solution workshops alongside technical teams and stakeholders to collaboratively address requests and develop effective solutions.
  • Documentation: document technology resiliency strategies, disaster recovery plans, and lessons learned for continuous improvement.
  • Recovery Operations: monitor systems, ensure secure backup and recovery environments, and support recovery operations in alignment with organizational goals.
  • Testing and Planning: participate in recovery testing and planning to verify that procedures are accurate and effective.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: collaborate with various stakeholders, including risk management team members, information security professionals, and senior IT leaders, to support seamless recovery operations.

This position independently manages multiple medium or single department-scale business projects from inception to close, including resource management, risk identification and mitigation, quality assurance and change control. Leads process improvement or new business service implementation. Creates, provides and facilitates end user training. Leads proactive communication between and among business proponents, stakeholders and department Leadership regarding assignments. Contributes to the improvement of established guidelines, tools, templates and methodologies. Reports department measurements and communicates metrics on activities. Broad general knowledge of information technology and institution activities. Develops proposals that consider alternatives and business case. Routinely interacts with vendors and provides technical interpretation for required services. May lead process or quality improvement efforts.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree with 3 years technology or business administration experience, OR Associates degree with 5 years technology or business administration experience. Other qualifications: A Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Business Management or related field preferred.

Experience working in healthcare technology. Prior experience with committee and consensus driven organizations. Knowledge of business systems and processes, including IT domain, data transfer protocol and IT application interfaces. Excellent communication, organization, problem solving and facilitation skills. Evidence of strong interpersonal skills including conflict resolution, meeting facilitation and organizational skills. Demonstrated history of continuing education in personnel and administrative processes.

Additional Qualifications (preferred):

  • Analytical Skills: ability to interpret data and assist in creating actionable insights.
  • Technical Knowledge: experience or coursework in automation, cloud and on-premises technologies, and cybersecurity.

  • Resilience Commitment: commitment to enhancing resilience and recovery capabilities.
  • Communication: strong verbal and written communication skills for effective collaboration with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
  • ABCP or CBCP, ACRP or CCRP, CISM, CISSP, HCISPP, PMP or related certification.
  • Works independently and is accountable for delivering outcomes and objectives established by the TR Innovation Manager.
  • Provides support for personnel and project management, requiring substantial inter-organizational coordination.
  • Serves as a proactive contributor to the Section and Division Leadership, assisting staff within and outside the immediate work unit.
  • Efficiently collaborates with diverse groups to drive consensus among stakeholders.
  • Proactively recommends procedures and policies that will improve workflow both within the work unit and across various work units and sites.
  • Volunteers to assume leadership roles, directing and coordinating the work of other staff.
  • Consistently demonstrates commitment to meet deadlines and priorities, setting a good example for others to emulate.
