Primary Purpose Of Position
This role is patient facing and can require working in a clinical setting. It is customer-facing with high expectations for operational excellence, particularly for maintaining strict infection prevention and control practices. Sites may be located within Military Treatment Facilities (MTF). The noise level is moderate and there is a potential for exposure to infectious diseases and blood-borne pathogens. Hours may vary based on location, patient volume, and business needs. This list of essential functions is not exhaustive and may be supplemented and changed, as necessary.

Seeing and hearing alarms and settings during and after business hours and responding according to training and procedures. Setting and resetting devices with small knobs and handles.

Core Duties
- Coordinate patient care in collaboration with a wide array of healthcare professionals. Facilitate the achievement of optimal outcomes in relation to clinical care, quality, and cost effectiveness.
- Ensure compliance with standards of care and practice in accordance with all established policies, procedures, and guidelines used in the MTF.
- Perform physical exam and health histories.
- Provide health promotions, counseling, and education.
- Administer medications, wound care, and numerous other personalized interventions as defined in scope of practice within the state which the site is located.
- Skill/management of waived testing and laboratory collections.
- Appropriate documentation in patient records
- Direct and supervise care provide by other healthcare professionals.
- Accountable for making patient care assignments based on the scope of practice and skill level of assigned personnel.
- Recognize adverse signs and symptoms and quickly react in emergency situations.
- Communicate and collaborate with a diverse group of people for the purpose of informing the healthcare team of plans/actions, for teaching/education to benefit the patient/family and organization.
- Make referral appointments and arrange specialty care as appropriate.
- Responsible for assessment and treatment of patient’s emergent needs in a nontraditional/traditional setting.
- Administers medications and treatments via oral, parenteral, and intravenously (as required by area of assignment).
- Skilled at safely establishing, preparing, administering, maintaining, and monitoring intravenous lines/infusions/medication (if required for the assignment).

Requirements
Required Qualifications
- Degree/Education: Bachelor's degree in nursing from a college or university accredited by National League for Nursing Accrediting Commission (NLNAC), or The Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE) and successfully pass the NCLEX exam.
- Licensure/Registration: Current, full, active, and unrestricted license to practice as a Registered Nurse.
- Certification: Have and maintain current certifications in Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) by the American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
- Experience: Possess a minimum of one (1) year of experience as an RN working in women’s health or ambulatory care setting within the last two (2) years.
- Citizenship: Be a U.S. citizen.
- Experience working with Veterans, Service Members, and Federal Employees.
