The Role: As the Vice President (VP) of Supply Chain, reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, you will play a pivotal leadership role in managing the end-to-end supply chain functions for SI Group. In this role, you will oversee Procurement, Planning, and Logistics operations, ensuring that the company maintains optimal inventory levels, maximizes procurement efficiency, and achieves best-in-class supply chain practices to meet customer demand and strategic business objectives. You will be responsible for formulating and implementing global supply chain strategies and leading cross-functional teams to achieve the company’s growth targets. As the VP of Supply Chain, you will foster collaboration across departments and with external partners to ensure the highest levels of service, quality, and cost-effectiveness.

How You Will Make an Impact:

Strategic Leadership & Vision

• Develop and execute a comprehensive global supply chain organization and approach aligned with company objectives.
• Lead the global procurement, planning, and logistics teams to drive improvements in cost, quality, and efficiency.
• Partner with the global leadership team to ensure supply chain activities support corporate growth and profitability targets.
• Act as a key advisor to senior management on all matters related to supply chain performance, risk management, cost optimization and customer satisfaction
  
  

Procurement Management

• Oversee global direct and indirect procurement activities, ensuring cost-effective sourcing from reliable suppliers.
• Drive supplier performance management through KPIs, SLAs, and regular reviews to maintain strong supplier relationships and secure a competitive advantage.
• Build relationships with suppliers and ensure the procurement team is adhering to best practices in ethical sourcing practices
  
  

Supply Chain Planning

• Lead demand and supply planning processes, balancing customer demand with production capabilities.
• Implement advanced forecasting techniques to minimize stockouts, reduce lead times, and optimize inventory levels.
• Ensure smooth collaboration between sales, production, and supply chain planning teams to ensure product availability.
• Optimize production schedules, resource planning, and material requirements for global manufacturing plants.
  
  

Logistics & Distribution

• Oversee the global logistics function, including warehousing, transportation, and distribution to ensure on-time delivery to customers.
• Optimize transportation costs and manage relationships with third-party logistics (3PL) providers, carriers, and freight forwarders.
• Implement and refine inventory management practices, focusing on minimizing excess inventory while ensuring customer satisfaction.
• Drive initiatives for sustainability and cost reduction in the logistics function, including energy-efficient transportation options and packaging solutions.
  
  

Team Leadership & Development

• Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing global supply chain team, including direct and indirect reports in procurement, planning, and logistics.
• Foster a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, and cross-functional collaboration.
• Promote talent development initiatives, including training programs, performance evaluations, and succession planning.

Risk Management & Compliance

• Identify, assess, and mitigate supply chain risks, including those related to geopolitical factors, regulatory changes, and supply disruptions.
• Ensure compliance with all local, national, and international laws governing the supply chain, including trade regulations, environmental standards, and health and safety guidelines.
  
  

Technology & Innovation

• Champion the implementation of digital tools and advanced technologies (e.g., SAP, AI, data analytics) to drive supply chain optimization.
• Utilize real-time data and predictive analytics to improve decision-making and forecasting accuracy.
• Explore innovative solutions for supply chain automation, process improvement, and cost efficiency.
  
  

Creating Extraordinary Starts With:

• Bachelor Degree in Science or business. MBA or Ph.D. Preferred
• Minimum of 10 years of managing procurement, planning and logistics functions and personnel, preferably in a multinational manufacturing company.
• Prior experience in the chemical industry
