What you will do:
- Prepare work papers and perform audit/review/compilation procedures for assurance engagements
- Prepare financial statements (including full footnote disclosures) for assurance engagements
- Perform high level analytic analysis on client financial data
- Determine and recommend corrections to client’s books/records to be in accordance with GAAP
- Utilize various trial balance, depreciation, tax and other software to prepare tax returns and organize assurance documentation
- Prepare and self-review a wide variety of tax returns such as S corporations, C Corporations, partnerships, LLC’s, individuals and trusts)
- Bachelor’s degree with an emphasis on accounting; candidate should have taken classes sufficient to be able to sit for the Uniform CPA Exam
- 0 - 3 years’ experience in the public accounting industry
- CPA license preferred or actively working towards
- Excellent communication, attention to detail, strong analytical skills
- Proficient with accounting software, and ability to learn new systems quickly
- Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills
- Proactive problem solving and ability to self-manage projects
- Experience with Ultra Tax and Checkpoint Engage a plus
- Strong knowledge of QuickBooks and Excel
