Salary: $105,000/annually, depending on experience + annual discretionary bonus

Tax Senior Job Summary

Reporting to the Director of Taxes, the Tax Senior will ensure the company’s state and federal tax documents are prepared and filed in a timely manner. This role is responsible for developing solutions for potential tax issues and keeping abreast of new developments in tax legislation.

This job is 100% on-site in our beautiful Ladera Ranch office.

Essential Job Functions And Responsibilities

• Accurately prepares and files federal and state tax returns in a timely manner.
• Assists in developing tax strategies to assist the company in being tax-compliant.
• Assists in identifying tax problems and develops solutions.
• Completes responses and schedules in preparation for income tax audits.
• Monitors and reviews developments in tax legislation.
• Reviews tax returns.
• Manages multiple projects efficiently.
• Performs other related duties as necessary or assigned.
  
  

Qualifications Needed

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Taxation, Finance, Business or related field required.
• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license is nice to have but not required.
• 4+ years corporate tax experience required.
• REIT experience a big plus.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong analytical skills with close attention to details.
• Extensive knowledge of tax legislation.
• Accurate math and accounting skills.
• Sound problem-solving skills.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and taxation software.
• Ability to meet deadlines and find solutions to problems.
