Role Overview

You have experience teaching and/or tutoring core elementary subjects and enjoy designing interdisciplinary projects that promote hands-on learning and student ownership. You value the role of movement, multilingualism, and artistic expression in children's development and enjoy partnering with specialists in these areas. Most importantly, you’re ready to roll up your sleeves, take the initiative, and co-create alongside students, families, and fellow educators.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and implement a hands-on, interdisciplinary curriculum that integrates literacy, math, science, and critical thinking.
  • Collaborate with specialist teachers in athletics, languages, and the arts to develop rich, cross-disciplinary learning experiences.
  • Establish and maintain a strong, supportive classroom community.
  • Communicate consistently with families to support student growth and foster strong school-home relationships.

Qualifications Required

Knowledge /Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
  • Minimum 3 years of elementary classroom teaching experience preferred.
  • Valid teacher certification preferred.
  • Proven ability to design and lead interdisciplinary experiences for students.
  • Passion for integrating athletics, world languages, and the arts into the core curriculum.
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.
  • Self-starter with a growth mindset and enthusiasm for shaping a dynamic, evolving program.
