Join the HALO Urologic Institute team where we are hiring a full time Medical Assistant to support our outpatient urology clinic in Apple Valley. The opportunity is Monday - Friday with a 8am - 5pm schedule. In this opportunity you will maintain patient records, prepare patients and rooms for examinations, assist doctors with exams, and perform desk task such as prior authorization and answer clinical calls.

  • Procedure support –completes consent forms, reviews patient history, administers medications and assess patient vitals and condition pre/post procedure.
  • Procedures include: prostate biopsy, cystoscopy, vasectomy, pelvic exams, pap smears, colonoscopies, endo-biospy, and urine cultures.
  • Provides follow-up aftercare for biopsy patients (answers questions for recovery and healing of biopsy site).
  • Keep referring physicians & primary care physicians informed of findings, recommendations and ensure they are included in plans for follow-up.
  • Coordinate scheduling and follow-up as needed.
  • Escort patients to the exam rooms.
  • Obtain health history from patients and screen for specific study.
  • Stock and clean rooms.

Qualifications: MA Certification, strong customer service skills and bilingual in English and Spanish is a plus.
