ANNOUNCEMENT OF POSITION VACANCY


SUMMARY: Currently searching for one Graduate Student Assistant to work on the Community Based Nutrition Intervention for Diabetes Management under the supervision of Dr. Fatheema Subhan-Principal Investigator.


SOME OF THE THINGS THAT YOU WILL GET TO DO (this is just a small sampling of work variety):

Help create nutrition education resources, recipes for 6 month diabetes education classes in the community and to lead the sessions, conduct data collection and other duties as directed by the PI


MINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Must be a Cal Poly Student pursuing a master's degree in Nutrition
  • Bachelor’s degree in Nutrition
  • Bilingual in English and Arabic- verbal communication and writing skills
  • Responsible and dependable
  • Ability to work well with various people including students, faculty, staff, and study participants
  • Motivated, innovative, and shows initiative
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

PREFERRED

  • Food handlers certification, Experience preparing nutrition education resources
