Description
- This is a full-time on-site role for a Fire Alarm Designer located in the Greater Chicago Area.
- The Fire Alarm Designer will be responsible for designing and drafting fire alarm systems, preparing detailed layout drawings, and collaborating with project managers and installation teams.
- The role involves interpreting building plans, ensuring compliance with fire safety codes and standards, and reviewing and approving designs for accuracy and completeness.
- Proficiency in Fire Alarm System design and drafting
- Knowledge of fire safety codes, standards, and regulations
- Experience with AutoCAD software and other design tools
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in design work
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously
- NICET certification in Fire Alarm Systems is a plus
- Experience with Notifier products is a plus.
- Will also consider candidates with AutoCAD skills and a desire to learn fire alarm systems.
