Description
NPI (new product introduction) program managers are responsible for coordinating and managing new product introduction. Working with management and stakeholders, they schedule activities, coordinate between teams, set standards for quality control, handle budgeting, and ensure the success of the new product. As NPI Program Manager at Click Bond, you will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating all aspects of our aerospace fastener programs. This role requires a strong understanding of aerospace industry standards, project management skills, and the ability to manage cross-functional teams. As NPI Program Manager at Click Bond, you will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating all aspects of our aerospace fastener programs. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Program Leadership:
- Leadership skills, clarity of vision, conflict resolution skills, and the resolve to complete a complex project with several moving parts.
- Lead and manage aerospace fastener programs from inception through completion.
- Develop and maintain program schedules, budgets, and resource plans.
- Serve as the primary point of contact between internal teams and external stakeholders.
- Define program scope, objectives, and deliverables in collaboration with stakeholders.
- Monitor program progress, identify potential risks, and implement mitigation strategies.
- Ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of program milestones.
- Collaborate with engineering, sales, manufacturing, quality assurance, and supply chain teams to ensure alignment and efficiency.
- Facilitate communication between teams to address any issues and ensure seamless program execution.
- Ensure all program activities comply with aerospace industry regulations and standards.
- Implement and oversee quality control processes to meet customer requirements and company standards.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, suppliers, and other stakeholders.
- Provide regular program updates and address any customer concerns or requirements.
- Analyze program performance metrics and identify areas for improvement.
- Implement best practices and lessons learned to enhance program management processes.
- Report immediately all suspicious and hazardous conditions to a supervisor.
- Understand and observe all safety guidelines and assure quality and safety by complying with all appropriate Click Bond policies and procedures.
- Assist in maintaining clean, orderly, and hazard-free work areas.
- Able to work with minimal supervision, be a self-starter and be detail oriented.
- Other duties as assigned.
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to demonstrate the following competencies:
- Strong knowledge of aerospace industry standards and regulations (e.g., AS9100, NADCAP).
- Proven track record in managing complex projects and leading cross-functional teams.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in project management software and tools (e.g., MS Project, Aras).
- Thrives working in a dynamic ever-changing ambiguous environment. Can take on various roles and fill gaps to get the job done.
- Exhibit ability to make the right decisions based on deep analysis, experience, and discernment. Seek and incorporate mentorship.
- The ability to span from long-term strategic vision to tactical execution with ease.
- Comfortable taking on any crisis moments. Encourages direct and tough debate and intuitively knows when to move on.
- Ability to evaluate complex issues with multitude of factors and propose optimal solution(s).
- Ability to read and write English.
- Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field. A master’s degree or PMP certification is a plus.
- 2 to 5 years of experience in program management within the aerospace or manufacturing industry. Experience specifically with aerospace fasteners is highly desirable.
- The work is primarily sedentary, although there may be some walking, standing, bending, and carrying of items, such as paper or books, weighing less than 35 pounds.
- Regularly required to sit or stand for the length of shift, bend, and reach.
