Siemens Industry is looking for a Manufacturing Engineer for our Grand Prairie, Texas factory. Our emerging facility is an expansion of operations in the DFW area producing high-quality, make-to-order power distribution equipment for use throughout North America. Our processes include material handling, metal fabrication, final assembly, and test.

The manufacturing engineers are responsible for supporting process development, improvements, and validations during the production of our products to ensure quality, cost, and efficiency requirements are met. This position investigates problems, conducts root cause analysis, and takes corrective action. The manufacturing engineer is also responsible for the research, purchase, and implementation of new/upgraded equipment (to include the implementation of digitalization and digital processes).

You will make an impact by:

  • Hands on implementation of process improvement solutions to include hardware installations, creating reports, documents processes, and training
  • Analyzing and optimizing logistics processes, including transportation, warehousing, and inventory management.
  • Manages improvement projects that may require capital expenditures, contractors, cost savings calculations, design development and physical installation work
  • Designing and implementing efficient logistics solutions using simulation models and data analysis.
  • Applies Lean manufacturing improvements, complex process changes, and technology changes including process development, training support production team on proper methods of assembly and propose improvements to build processes.
  • Coordinates and communicates technical information to all levels of the organization including vendors, project managers, production team members, and operations managers.

You’ll win us over by having the following qualifications:

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Logistics Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management or equivalent experience
  • Minimally 2 years’ experience working as a ME in a manufacturing environment
  • Experience simulating manufacturing and logistics systems and processes
  • Proficiency in data collection and analysis.
  • Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously.
  • High proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and data analysis tools.
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States on a continual and permanent basis without company sponsorship.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Lean manufacturing techniques; preferred Yellow or Green Belt
  • Experience with SAP or similar ERP system
  • Understanding of Supply-Chain Management and/or Internal Logistics
  • Knowledge of AutoCAD (or equivalent) technical drawing software
  • Proficiency in logistics software and tools (e.g., TMS, WMS, ERP systems).

  • The pay range for this position is $66,220 - $113,520. The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications and premium geographic location.
