The Audiovisual (AV) Project Manager - Senior is responsible for overseeing project teams and managing client communications to ensure successful project execution from start to finish. This role involves interpreting project scope, managing costs, scheduling, identifying risks, and ensuring seamless execution through planning, commissioning, and closure.

Requirements
- Associate degree or higher. A degree in Business Administration, or Project Management is preferred.
- 5+ years’ experience within the AV/IT or a related industry in a project management role
- Must attain an AVIXA CTS credential within one year
- Must have a PMP certification from PMI.
- Proficient in Windows, Microsoft Office, and project management software
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, along with effective negotiation abilities.
- Proven ability to multitask and manage multiple projects simultaneously, with strong planning, organizational, and implementation skills to ensure timely project completion.
- Experience in interpreting and creating instructions in various formats, including written, oral, diagrams, and schedules.
- Strong organizational and administrative skills that align with company core values.
- Skilled in mentoring team members and supporting professional development
- Must be willing to travel occasionally for overnight stays, which could last from one night to several weeks
- Able to work in diverse environments, from finished executive boardrooms to active construction sites, with appropriate attire required for each setting.
- Lead and manage large-scale, high-profile AV/IT projects from planning through closeout
- Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and scopes while ensuring on-time, on-budget delivery
- Act as the primary point of contact for clients, internal teams, and subcontractors during project execution
- Coordinate and guide cross-functional teams, assigning tasks and maintaining accountability
- Mentor and train new and junior project managers to support team growth and development
- Collaborate with estimating teams on site surveys and resource planning
- Maintain accurate and detailed project documentation (e.g., schedules, RFIs, change orders, punch lists)
- Oversee procurement scheduling and ensure installation teams are properly equipped
- Provide system troubleshooting and testing support during installation phases
- Ensure project completion includes client training and documented record updates
- Enforce compliance with safety standards, OSHA requirements, and company policies
- Participate in safety meetings, training sessions, and maintain up-to-date certifications
- Maintain a 75%+ billable workload through direct project and technical support
- Adapt to project travel and flexible work hours as needed
- Perform additional duties as assigned to support project and business success
