Job Summary
The Staff Scientist in the Reisman Lab will design and synthesize bifunctional molecules for targeted therapeutic delivery across the blood-brain barrier. These molecules combine a receptor-binding motif, modular linkers, and conjugation handles for attachment to therapeutic cargos. Efforts will focus on structure-activity relationship studies, linker diversification, and the development of new architectures to expand platform capabilities.

Job Summary

Essential Job Duties
- Design and synthesis of small molecules
- Characterization and Quality Control
- Use NMR, LC/MS, and HPLC to characterize intermediates and final compounds.
- Ensure purity, identity, and stability of synthesized molecules.
- Prepare reports and presentations summarizing synthetic progress, challenges, and proposed solutions.
- Participate in regular project update meetings.
Basic Qualifications
- Ph.D. in Chemistry.
- Post Ph.D. experience in an academic setting.
- Understanding of functional group compatibility and linker design.
- Experience with designing and synthesizing small molecules for biological targets.
