We are seeking a seasoned product management leader with a proven track record and a passion for innovation. As the Senior Director of Product Management, you will be at the forefront of developing and strategizing enterprise-level chat and voice bot products, utilizing cutting-edge machine learning (ML) and artificial intelligence (AI) technologies. You will collaborate closely with other product and technology executives across Optum to define product objectives and drive the planning, development, and implementation of these initiatives, while ensuring alignment with broader Optum efficiencies and synergies. Leading a team of product managers, you will be instrumental in shaping the vision, strategy, and evolution of our conversational AI products to enhance the consumer experience across all digital touchpoints at Optum.

Primary Responsibilities
- Develop and communicate a compelling consumer-centric product vision and strategy specifically for chatbots and voicebots, ensuring alignment with Optum's overall business objectives and consumer needs. Focus on leveraging AI and ML technologies to enhance consumer engagement and satisfaction
- Lead and mentor a team of product managers, data scientists, designers, and engineers, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture. Ensure the team is equipped with the latest knowledge and skills in conversational AI technologies
- Oversee the end-to-end product development lifecycle for chatbots and voicebots, from ideation and design to development, testing, and launch. Ensure timely delivery and high-quality standards, with a focus on consumer-centric solutions
- Work closely with cross-functional teams, including engineering, marketing, sales, and customer support, to ensure seamless integration and execution of chatbot and voicebot initiatives. Foster solid relationships with stakeholders to drive product success
- Champion a consumer-centric approach, gathering and analyzing user feedback to continuously improve chatbot and voicebot offerings. Ensure products meet the needs and expectations of consumers, enhancing their overall experience
- Stay abreast of the latest advancements in ML and AI technologies, driving innovation and incorporating cutting-edge solutions into chatbot and voicebot development. Experiment with new technologies to improve product functionality and user experience
- Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) specific to chatbots and voicebots to measure their success and impact. Use data-driven decisions to optimize product performance and achieve business goals
Required Qualifications
- 10+ years of experience in Product leadership experience with AI, ML, chat, or search for consumer-centric companies
- 8+ years of leadership experience hiring, managing, and developing both individual contributors and senior leaders
- 5+ years of executive leadership experience
- Product leadership experience related to building or launching chatbots and voicebots on popular and highly used websites and mobile apps
- Hands-on experience in integrating AI technologies into consumer-facing products to enhance user experience and operational efficiency
- Deep understanding of ML and AI technologies, including natural language processing (NLP), machine learning algorithms, and conversational AI platforms
- Demonstrated success in taking AI-driven products from concept to launch, including defining product requirements, working with engineering teams, and managing the product lifecycle
- Demonstrated solid ability to conduct market research and competitive analysis specific to the conversational AI industry, identifying trends, opportunities, and threats
- Demonstrated passion for understanding customer needs and delivering exceptional user experiences through innovative chatbot and voicebot solutions. Experience in gathering and analyzing user feedback to continuously improve product offerings
- Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make data-driven decisions and drive product innovation. Experience in defining and tracking key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success and impact of chat and voice bot products
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a cross-functional environment, building solid relationships with stakeholders at all levels, including engineering, marketing, sales, and customer support
