Job Overview
Provide initial point-of-contact customer service to parents and students regarding costs, billing, payments, scholarships, and financial aid. Administer financial aid requirements processing and the associated communications. The SFS Representative reports to the Billing and Payment Manager and pay $22 - $24/hour.


Responsibilities and Duties
1. Customer service responsibilities including:
a. Provide a welcoming and professional presence at the front desk. Greet students and parents that visit the office and provide general information about costs, billing, payments, scholarships, and financial aid.
b. Answer incoming calls and check voicemail regularly. Respond to messages or forward to a Specialist when appropriate.
c. Respond to email inquiries from current and prospective students, parents, and campus personnel regarding general College account and/or financial aid information. Responsible for maintaining a high level of customer service and timely responses for inquiries with a high level of confidentiality.
2. Administer SFS financial aid requirements processing including:
a. Reviewing financial aid forms submitted by students and parents and determining if they have been completed accurately.
b. Interacting with students and parents to inform them of missing, incomplete, or inaccurate documents.
c. Imaging completed documents into imaging system.
d. Answering emails and phone calls with questions from parents and students related to forms and other outstanding financial aid requirements.
e. Perform data entry projects.
f. Provide training and support for part-time student workers.
g. Update forms annually or as needed.
3. Perform other duties as assigned.

Part-time Position at 25 hours per week, 12 months per year.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Strong organizational skills with a high level of attention to detail.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, computer, and writing skills.
Physical Requirements
The employee is regularly required to sit, talk, or hear; frequently required to use repetitive hand motion, handle, or feel, and to stand, walk, reach, bend or lift up to 10 pounds.
