Join Centrica Energy's Trading Infrastructure and Operations team in our new US office as a Desktop Support Specialist! You'll provide critical Level 1 & 2 support for desktop and laptop issues, ensuring smooth operations in a fast-paced trading environment. With your strong problem-solving skills and customer-focused attitude, you'll manage Windows OS, troubleshoot DNS/DHCP, and support Microsoft Office 365 packages. Be part of a collaborative team dedicated to high-quality support and continuous improvement.

Duration: 12 months

Salary range for this position: $90,000 - $140,000/Year. Actual base salary may vary based several factors, including, but not limited to, relevant experience, business needs and market demands. This role may also be eligible for bonus compensation and employee benefits.

Key Accountabilities

As a Desktop Support Specialist, you will:

  • Provide Level 1 & 2 support for desktop and laptop issues, including hardware and software troubleshooting for a critical Trading operation.

  • Manage and troubleshoot Windows operating systems and applications, including DNS and DHCP.

  • Support and administer Microsoft Office 365 packages and utilize Microsoft Intune for device management and security.

  • Follow ITIL best practices for incident, problem, and change management.

  • Document and track issues using our service desk system, collaborate with other IT team members to resolve complex issues, and provide training and support to end-users as needed.

Skills and Experience

We are looking for someone with a customer-focused attitude, committed to providing high-quality support. You should be able to work independently and as part of a team, demonstrating excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, along with strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Additionally, you should have:

  • Proven experience in a Level 2 desktop support role, ideally in a trading or finance role.

  • Strong knowledge of Windows operating systems and troubleshooting.

  • Confidence in managing and organizing Active Directory and its objects.

  • Experience with DNS and DHCP configuration and management.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 packages (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).

  • Familiarity with ITIL processes and best practices.

  • Hands-on experience with Microsoft Intune is an advantage.

  • Experience using ServiceNow would be beneficial.
