SEWS — El Paso, Texas Office. Although located at SEWS – El Paso Office, this is a Hybrid position, which combines both in office and off-site work. Associates are required to work at least three days in the office each week, but also have the flexibility to work off-site
Basic Purpose:

Successfully source new suppliers in order to reduce the overall material costs. Improve sourcing accuracy and timing in accordance with program milestones deliverables. Create strategies for major commodities and work with Engineering to implement for new sourced programs. Use knowledge of the current market to create, implement, or redevelop tactics and techniques needed in negotiating business deals.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Search for continuous purchase cost improvements within assigned commodities and facility assignments.
  • Manage and complete projects assigned by procurement managers.
  • Responsible for maintaining and improving sources of supply by using progressive purchasing and negotiation skills.
  • Track cost savings and report monthly projected progress/process to procurement management.
  • Complete requisitions to PO by following purchasing procedures.
  • Maintain professional work environment through 6S principals.
  • Maintain good work relationships and company image with supplier through daily ethical business education.
  • May perform non-purchasing duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications:
  • Associates Degree with 5-7 years experience/Degree in related field preferred.
  • Bilingual English/Spanish preferred
  • Large Equipment Purchasing, Negotiation Skills, MS Office Skills
  • Knowledge in ERPLX systems or MRP
