Description

The Operations Manager oversees the team’s performance, improving processes to achieve the RCM’s business and financial goals. Areas of company responsibilities include

  • onboarding and offboarding of clients
  • subject matter expertise in specific systems used daily by staff and clients
  • RMC and MTS business processes
  • Vendor processes management
  • Onboarding and offboarding of staff

This role is critical in ensuring the efficiency, accuracy and compliance of RCM workflows and functions.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities (include the following. Other duties may be assigned.)

Develop and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce gaps in productivity and error.

Develops and monitors KPIs to track team performance and related client outcomes

Achieves optimization and max efficiencies through process engineering and system implementation.

Works with vendors, both onshore and offshore, to improve process and efficiencies.

Collaborates with cross-functional teams including IT, HR, Client Services and others.

Serves as primary point of contact for escalated client issues around operational concerns.

Supervisory Responsibility

Leads operations team staff daily and monitors their daily, weekly, monthly duties and tasks.

Manages timecards and PTO requests for team

Train, mentor and evaluate staff performance to foster accountability and continues improvement.

Requirements

  • Strong understanding of revenue cycle management processes, payer rules and healthcare compliance
  • Proven ability to lead teams, manage projects and drive operational excellence.
  • Excellent analytical, problem solving and communication skills.

Education And/or Experience

  • High school diploma or GED required; Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience preferred.
  • Three years of related experience, with one year in a lead or supervisory capacity, is required.

Reasoning Ability

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
