Location:
It is anticipated that an incumbent in this role will work remotely from home if located beyond the Overland Park, KS-area or Plantation, FL-area. Status and location of position subject to change based on business needs.
Travel
Up to 50% annual travel required as the incumbent in this role will host regular training & workshop opportunities, support the onboarding processes for Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A), etc. as may be dictated by business needs.
Job Description
BioMatrix is seeking a dynamic and strategic Director of Learning and Development (L&D) to support the design and delivery of scalable learning initiatives across the organization. As BioMatrix continues to grow through strategic acquisitions and national expansion, the Director of L&D will play a critical role in building talent readiness and reinforcing a unified culture that supports operational and clinical excellence.
As a key member of the leadership team reporting to the Chief Transformation Officer, the Director of L&D will drive enterprise-wide strategies that enhance capability-building, accelerate integration across newly acquired teams, and reinforce a unified culture of operational excellence, innovation, and continuous learning.

Qualification Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in education, human resources, or related clinical nursing or pharmacy program required
- Minimum of 7-10 years of progressive experience in Learning & Development, Organizational Development, or Talent Management required
- Prior leadership experience required
- Experience building L&D functions in high-growth or M&A-driven environments, ideally in healthcare, life sciences, or pharmacy sectors.
- Demonstrated success in designing leadership development, onboarding, and enterprise learning strategies that scale.
- Strong business acumen with the ability to align learning initiatives to organizational goals and growth plans.
- Exceptional stakeholder management and executive presence.
- Familiarity with adult learning principles, instructional design, and digital learning platforms.
- Master’s degree in education, human resources, or related clinical nursing or pharmacy program preferred
- Experience in specialty pharmacy, healthcare services, or related field preferred
- Certification in coaching, change management (e.g., Prosci), or leadership development frameworks preferred
- Prior experience integrating learning across geographically distributed teams or multiple acquisitions preferred
Enterprise Learning Strategy & Execution
- Develop and execute a comprehensive L&D strategy that supports BioMatrix’s business goals, including growth through M&A and geographic expansion.
- Design and deliver scalable programs supporting onboarding, functional upskilling, compliance training, and leadership development initiatives.
- Develop onboarding and training programs that accelerate the integration of newly acquired employees and leaders and that accelerate cultural alignment, systems adoption, and role clarity.
- Serve as a critical advisor to deal and integration teams, providing L&D insights during due diligence and post-close planning.
- Partner with HR, Operations, and Communications teams to design learning experiences that support change management and employee engagement during transition periods.
- Design and implement leadership development programs for frontline managers through senior leaders, with a focus on building a strong internal pipeline.
- Establish clear success profiles for leadership roles and align development programs accordingly.
- Ensure alignment and consistency of culture across legacy and newly integrated teams.
- Reinforce company values and desired behaviors through learning programs, rituals, and cultural initiatives.
- Collaborate with functional leaders to define and deliver training and new hire onboarding that supports business process consistency, regulatory compliance, and quality of care standards.
- Foster communities of practice and knowledge-sharing initiatives across clinical and operational areas.
- Define success metrics for L&D programs and use data to evaluate effectiveness, inform continuous improvement, and report impact to executive leadership.
- Develop a learning dashboard that reports on learning outcomes and program impact to leadership.
- Proven ability to design and execute enterprise-wide learning strategies that align with business goals and drive organizational performance
- Expertise in adult learning principles, instructional design, digital learning platforms, and innovative delivery methods
- Strong understanding of leadership development, succession planning, and talent pipeline building
- Experience leading and managing large-scale learning initiatives and high-performing teams
- Excellent communication, facilitation, and presentation skills, with the ability to engage and influence all levels of the organization, including senior leaders and stakeholders
- Strong business acumen and the ability to align learning programs with organizational growth, transformation, and culture goals
- Demonstrated ability to manage complex projects, prioritize effectively, and deliver results within deadlines
