Both manufacture proprietary product lines which include Davenport multi-spindle screw machines, thread rolling attachments, thread rolls, and tooling. We are seeking a dedicated and committed Professional Buyer to join our team. We offer top pay, one of the best benefits packages locally, flexible start times and a solid career opportunity.Position Summary:We are seeking a detail-oriented and results-driven Professional Buyer to manage our procurement activities. The ideal candidate will be responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and purchasing materials, equipment, and services to meet operational needs.Key Responsibilities:Sourcing & Procurement:Identify and evaluate potential suppliers based on quality, price, and reliability.Issue purchase orders, ensuring timely delivery of goods and services.Negotiation:Negotiate contracts and pricing agreements to achieve cost savings without compromising quality.Supplier Management:Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to foster collaboration and ensure continuity of supply.Monitor supplier performance and resolve issues promptly.Inventory & Budget Control:Collaborate with inventory and production teams to align purchases with operational needs.Monitor budgets and analyze procurement trends for cost-efficiency.Compliance & Documentation:Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and industry standards.Maintain accurate records of purchases, contracts, and supplier details.Qualifications:Education: Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field (preferred).Experience:2+ years of experience in procurement, purchasing, or a similar role.Industry-specific experience is a plus (e.g., manufacturing, retail, etc.).Skills:Strong negotiation and communication skills.Proficiency in ERP systems and procurement software.Analytical and problem-solving abilities.Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.Certifications (preferred):Certified Professional in Supply Management (CPSM)Certified Purchasing Professional (CPP)Why Join Us?Opportunity to work in a collaborative and innovative environment.Career growth and professional development opportunities.Excellent benefits package, including health insurance, paid time off, 401(k), and moreA supportive, team-focused work cultureAccess to the latest CNC technology and equipmentIf you're ready to take your machining career to the next level, apply today!Please submit your resume for consideration.
