Summary
Contribute to the effectiveness of the Kent Division and Hub Operations by assisting the Night Supervisor with evening/swing shift warehouse operations. Provide excellent customer service in the areas of product receiving and fulfillment of customer orders.

Contribute to the effectiveness of the Kent Division and Hub Operations by assisting the Night Supervisor with evening/swing shift warehouse operations. Provide excellent customer service in the areas of product receiving and fulfillment of customer orders.
Essential Functions
- Assist supervising evening/swing shift warehouse staff.
- Oversee the order filling, packing and preparation process.
- Troubleshoot problems with orders.
- Ensure that warehouse operations are performed in a safe manner and train warehouse employees on proper safety procedures.
- Able to operate the equipment and fill orders as needed.
- Assist Warehouse Night Supervisor with the employee appraisal process.
- Address customer and delivery issues directly.
- Ensure that inventory is maintained in the proper warehouse locations and that warehouse is kept in a neat, clean, and orderly fashion.
- Coordinate schedules for employee vacation and sick time and days off.
- Fill in as needed.
- Perform other functions, as necessary.
- Minimum two years’ experience in warehouse or delivery supervision preferred.
- Previous work experience in a wholesale paper distribution environment preferred.
- Previous Hazmat and Hazcom experience preferred.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Windows and current versions of MS Office
- Highest level of professionalism with the ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Effective verbal and written communications skills; ability to communicate at all levels of organization and work well within a team environment in support of company objectives.
- Customer service oriented, with the ability to work well under pressure in an environment full of deadlines, providing accurate output.
- Detail oriented, well organized with ability to prioritize, coordinate and simultaneously maintain multiple projects; approachable, flexible, and adaptable to change.
- Strong organizational critical thinking, questioning, and problem-solving skills.
- Able to lift and carry up to 75 pounds on a regular basis and up to 100 pounds on an occasional basis.
- Basic math, reading and writing skills.
- Ability to work without direct supervision.
- Able to operate lift equipment, reach trucks, order pickers and other equipment.
- Warehouse and shipping dock environment in all weather conditions.
- Overtime, occasional weekend work.
- Work shift Monday through Friday, 3 P.M. – 11:30 P.M.
