Job Overview

Mercedes-Benz is seeking a dedicated Site Support Processor to join our parts distribution center (PDC) team in Fontana, CA. This role will encompass responsibilities in dangerous goods management, environmental health and safety (EHS), and process improvement. The SSP will support all roles and duties within the warehouse and the Key & Lock Operation where applicable, to include Inventory Management, Reporting, Processing of Parts. This position will serve as Liaison between Home Office (HO) and PDC for verifying inventory and may be required to support warehouse operations processes as needed. Requires knowledge of Mercedes-Benz warehouse management systems (Dview) and MB ordering system (SAP). Candidate will need to be intelligent and punctual with a positive and self-motivated attitude that will excel in a fast-paced work setting.

Key Responsibilities:

Support the PDC Manager and Supervisors where applicable.

Dangerous Goods:

  • Provide guidance and training on safe handling practices for dangerous goods.
  • Develop and implement safety guidelines to ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Prepare for regulatory reviews and coordinate with government and regulatory agencies.
  • Monitor and report incidents, analyze safety data, and prepare reports for management and external auditors.
  • Maintain continuous readiness for regulatory compliance through regular assessments.

Environmental Health and Safety (EHS):

  • Act as the first point of contact for network EHS leaders or Plant Managers regarding EHS matters.
  • Oversee and track facility self-assessment audits, perform gap analysis, and oversight of action plans to address findings.
  • Evaluate activities, operations, equipment, and processes to minimize health and safety risks.
  • Oversee projects from conception to completion, ensuring objectives are met.
  • Ensure full compliance with company policies and procedures.

Site Support Processing:

  • Collaborate with the Site Support Processor (SSP) team to manage Overage, Shortage, and Damage (OS&D) reports.
  • Analyze dealer claims for accuracy and determine credit eligibility.
  • Process shortage claims and non-conforming parts for scrapping.
  • Manage and resolve Parts Assistance Center (PAC) and Supply Chain Management (SCM) cases via Workbench.
  • Communicate urgent dealer/customer order requests to leadership to ensure timely resolution and customer satisfaction.
  • Support dealer inquiries through stock checks and debit clearing.
  • Utilize SAP, Paragon, DView, Workbench, and Star Order Plus (SOP) for reporting and case management.
  • Contribute to monthly KPI reviews and ensure data integrity across systems.

Inventory Management & Reconciliation Monitoring of:

  • Suspense counts (racks and bins), analyze discrepancies, and recommend corrective actions.
  • Perpetual inventory accuracy, ensuring 100% cycle count completion annually, including bypassed locations.
  • Oversee and reconcile inventory data using DView and Paragon systems.
  • Inventory Reconciliation and Inventory Management Reports, including mis-pick processing and error tracking.
  • Root cause analysis and provide actionable feedback to improve inventory accuracy.
  • Process inventory shelf-life checks and disposal, including expiration date entry and warranty return shipments.
  • Act as a liaison between Head Office and PDC for inventory verification and reporting.

Qualifikationen

Qualifications & Requirements:

High School Diploma (GED) or equivalent work experience High School Diploma (GED)

Must have 3+ years (total) of experience in the following:

  • Administration --> Knowledge of administrative procedures, process/project development, and system procedures.
  • Business - General
    • --> Knowledge of fundamental business practices and concepts that impact the success and profitability of the organization.
    • --> Knowledge of the principles and methodology for a process-orientated, integrated approach to procuring, producing, and delivering products and services to customers.
  • Processing --> Knowledge of processes, quality control, costs, and other techniques to achieve maximum efficiency.
  • Quality Assurance --> Knowledge of accounting standards, statistical analysis, precision measurement, and process capability. Knowledge of dangerous goods regulations.

Additional Information

Computer Skills: (I.E. Microsoft office) Knowledge of IT infrastructure
