Summary

At Magnolia, the Junior Copywriter contributes to the writing of marketing campaigns, retail promotions, brand experiences, and storytelling across all Magnolia touchpoints. This role helps craft messaging that inspires guests to shop, visit, eat, and engage—whether online at Magnolia.com or in person at our stores, restaurants, and events. This position works from Magnolia Headquarters in Waco, Texas. It reports to the Art Director and has no supervisory responsibilities.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

  • Contribute to the writing of intentional, thoughtful content for blogs, brand experiences, events, and initiatives that amplify brand awareness, and inspire guests to engage with Magnolia online and in Waco
  • Contribute to the writing of impactful copy for omni-channel retail marketing campaigns and promotions across paid and owned channels, including: Magnolia.com, digital landing pages, look books, emails, paid media, print ads, and in-store signage
  • Assist with the creation of headlines, taglines, and CTAs that engage guests and support brand storytelling and retail conversion
  • Assist with proofreading and editing to ensure clarity, grammar, and consistency
  • Help maintain Magnolia’s brand voice by referencing and contributing to voice and tone guidelines
  • Participate in team brainstorms, workshops, and seasonal ideation sessions
  • Stay informed on industry trends, particularly in the home and lifestyle spaces
  • Utilize project management software and digital tools to streamline operations, track projects, and facilitate seamless communication and collaboration among team members
  • Support content management processes, including copy tracking, reviews and revisions, and file management best practices
  • Collaborate with the Creative Operations team to ensure files are delivered on-brief, on-time, and are aligned with the expectations set by the Vice President of Creative
  • Metrics evaluated on Performance Review

Eligibility Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree from a 4-year college or university preferred
  • 2-4 years of related work experience OR an equivalent combination of education and experience preferred
  • Experience writing for home or lifestyle brand preferred
  • Portfolio required

WORK ENVIRONMENT
