We are seeking a Mortgage Collections Officer to join our Modesto, CA Team!

WHAT You'll DO

  • Telephone members and determine reasons for delinquency in accordance with the timelines and schedules set forth by the department (presently the team makes 5,500 calls/month)
  • Answer both basic and complex member questions regarding account and transfer call to the assigned Mortgage Advisor or servicing department, as needed
  • Maintain accurate notes within the servicing system, documenting all borrower communications and attempts
  • Assist borrowers with resolving basic servicer issues, referring more complex questions to the Loan Servicing team, directly
  • Prepare and participate in case management meetings and trainings, etc.
  • Perform other duties as may be deemed necessary

WHAT You’ll NEED

  • English/Spanish fluency strongly preferred
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups and /or individuals
  • Ability to navigate the two loan platforms presently in use, i.e. FICS and New Solutions
  • Mathematical skills including calculating figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, percentages, and ability to apply concepts of basic algebra
  • Basic understanding of existing loan products, government grant programs and modification alternatives
  • Strong and thorough understanding of all credit union program guidelines, policies and processes
  • Ability to secure and maintain NMLS certification.

Hourly Wage Range: $23.50 - $31.35
