Housekeeping Team Leader - Full Time - Mid Shift

This is a full time position with mid shift hours. Weekend availability required.

Summary

As a team leader in the housekeeping department, you will be responsible for assisting and directing a team of room attendants with their day-to-day operations. Team leaders need to create guest satisfaction by the detailed inspection of each guest room that is assigned. Responsible for making sure individual's sections are clean and well organized. Be able to coach and motivate individuals for improvement for the guest stay. Understand the importance of customer service skills and speaking with guests. Supplying their team with any communication that is necessary and get tools to ensure a successful day. Knowledgeable in the employee handbook and overall requirements for guest rooms. Team leaders will be reporting to their supervisors and managers for any issues or positive comments.

Essential Functions

• Inspect guest rooms to quality standards put in place
• Attend departmental meetings.
• Follow AHC handbook policies and standard operating procedures.
• Actively working, always looking for ways to assists guests and going above and beyond to provide guest service.
• Reads or listens to Daily Beat.
• Reads and understands all memos that pertain to the housekeeping department.
• Uses other AHC hotels and staff as resources.
• Complete all daily responsibilities/cleaning task list.
• Inspect guest rooms to quality standards put in place
• Critique employee performance and productivity
• Assign daily work to employees
• Handle guest requests
• Work with other departments to ensure guest satisfaction
• Work with housekeeping managers to ensure proper productivity and quality standards

Education & Experience

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Related experience is preferred.
