We are seeking a proactive and service-oriented People Operations Specialist to join our People team. This individual will play a vital role in supporting the day-to-day operations of the Human Resources function while leading key functional areas including Leave of Absence (LOA) management, Benefits Administration, and Onboarding & Offboarding. The People Operations Specialist will serve as a reliable point of contact for employees and managers, ensuring an exceptional employee experience at every stage of the employee lifecycle.
This position requires strong attention to detail, a commitment to service excellence, and a working knowledge of core HR processes. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced, evolving environment and bring a collaborative mindset to every task.
This position is hybrid, with three days a week working at our headquarters in Scottsdale, Arizona, and two days a week working remotely.
Compensation
- First-year compensation $70,000 - $80,000 annually (DOE)
- $1,200 annual technology allowance
- 401(k) company match up to 3%

Generous PTO which includes 80 hours of vacation, 40 hours of sick leave, seven holidays, PLUS Winter Break (the last week of December). For those in the military reserves we offer 80 hours of paid military leave, and after one year of employment we offer 80 hours of Parental Leave for each birth/adoption.
HR Operations Support:
- Administer employee changes, records, and compliance documentation in the HRIS.
- Assist with audits, reporting, and data maintenance to ensure accuracy and integrity.
- Serve as a trusted resource for employee questions and support a positive work environment.
- Facilitate the pre-employment and onboarding experience to ensure smooth integration for new hires.
- Coordinate with IT, facilities, and hiring managers to ensure readiness on Day 1.
- Support offboarding activities including exit interviews, final checklists, and documentation.
- Coordinate all aspects of leave administration, including FMLA, disability, parental, and other leaves.
- Serve as a liaison between employees, managers, and third-party vendors to ensure compliance and timely communication.
- Maintain accurate LOA records and track return-to-work timelines.
- Support open enrollment processes, benefits inquiries, and employee communications.
- Assist with benefits-related troubleshooting and escalate issues to providers when needed.
- Maintain accurate benefit records and support compliance requirements (e.g., ACA, COBRA).
- Attention to Detail – Manages processes accurately and completely, even under pressure.

- Process Discipline – Consistently follows and improves HR operational procedures.
- Problem Solving – Approaches employee issues with curiosity and thoughtful solutions.
- Communication Skills – Clear and responsive in both written and verbal interactions.
- Confidentiality – Maintains discretion and upholds trust in all sensitive matters.
- At least 3 years of experience in a Human Resources Generalist or Coordinator role, preferably in a high-growth or multi-site environment.
- Familiarity with employment laws related to LOA, benefits, and onboarding.
- Strong working knowledge of HRIS systems and Microsoft Office tools.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and maintain a high level of accuracy.
- Experience supporting healthcare, clinical, or professional services teams is a plus.
