The Clinical Specialist’s core focus is to provide educational, technical and operational support to both customers and independent manufacturers’ representatives (IMR) channels. The Clinical Specialist will work with a high degree of independence, flexibility and autonomy to achieve core company objectives and key results. The Clinical Specialist will support various trade shows, distributors and account visits while working closely with the IMR reps to achieve and exceed sales goals. The Clinical Specialist will provide valuable customer feedback and field intelligence to the company’s product management, marketing and sales teams.


Essential Functions:

  • Build and sustain professional and lasting relationships with customers and IMR reps.
  • Provide in-depth clinical education and hands-on training to hospital staff, surgeons, and independent manufacturers’ representatives on product use, clinical applications, and procedural support.
  • Effectively represent the value of the company’s product lines and contribute to a strong company brand identity.
  • Resolve clinical and technical problems and identify corrective actions.
  • Support clinical trials, research and new product evaluations.
  • Travel to customer sites, distributor meetings, and industry events to deliver training and support.
  • Collaborate with the sales team to support product evaluations, conversions, and troubleshooting.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant clinical practices, technologies, and competitive landscape with sales, marketing, product management and other departments to build growth.
  • Attend trade shows and relevant local and national meetings and cadaveric workshops.
  • Document new customer requirements, clinical & product issues, distributor rep visits, customer visits.
  • Understand and comply with all applicable Company Policies & Procedures and exhibit the highest professional and ethical standards.
  • Other job duties as assigned by manager.


Job Requirements / Specific Experience / Skills and Abilities:

  • Bachelor’s in Nursing, Biomedical Sciences or related field preferred
  • Associate’s degree in science or similar required
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in an operating room or surgical environment (neurosurgery strongly preferred).
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work independently in a remote setting while collaborating across teams.
  • Willingness and flexibility to travel regularly, including approximately 75% overnight trips
  • Able to lift and carry 40 lbs.
